Otra Forma was born of a desire to create unique objects using beautiful materials, combining them in new and original ways. We take conventional ideas and turn them upside down, observe them and manipulate them, until the initial idea takes ‘otra forma’, another form. Otra Forma is based in Christchurch, NZ specialising in furniture and object design.

A clean and beautiful solution to the otherwise messy business of storing firewood.
The Redondo firewood holder allows to store kindling and large logs separately, as well as keeping lighting kit handy. Rolled mild steel with matte powder coat finish for indoor use, or rolled Corten steel with a rusted finish for outdoors.
Balanced blend of practicality and design for the makings of a unique ‘cosy room’.

Who said bedside tables had to be just a table? The Rarita embraces OtraForma’s motto and turns the usual on its head to produce a bedside table that is not afraid to be different. Rarita is colourful, lively and sophisticated as she stands tall.
The design of OtraForma’s Rarita encapsulates the feeling of being the ‘odd one out’ while referencing the lines and shapes of a piece of Artwork showing the plight of migrants and refugees arriving by sea to new lands.
The result is an aesthetically simple, yet multi-functional bedside table and lamp.

The Rayos side table was inspired by the sun shining through clouds on a stormy day. The image of rays formed by the sun are reflected in the tables’ structure. The beautiful solid oak top has a sort of floating appearance, and although the Rayos looks like it could topple, it is in fact perfectly balanced and strong.
